The Webster University Men’s Soccer team lost a heart-breaker in the first game of their 2008 season, falling to Millikin 2-1.  Webster Senior Kevin Fann scored first off an assist from Michael Riti, early in the second half.   However, Millikin Senior Eddie Hanson tied the game on a header off a corner from Freshman Ian Hatleli in the 71st minute.  The game remained tied until the end of regulation.

The next goal came with 3 minutes left in the second overtime.  Millikin’s Hatleli scored off of an assist from teammate Matt Smith. 

The Webster Men’s Soccer team will continue their season on September 6th when they will take on the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Titans.  Webster University is a member of the St Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.  All Webster sporting events feature free admission.  For more information check out www.websterathletics.com.
