Webster University is a member of the Missouri Beta Chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma (XAΣ). The National College Athletic Honor Society recognizes student-athletes from accredited four-year NCAA, NAIA, NCCAA, and USCAA institutions who excel in both the classroom and competition.

Chi Alpha Sigma, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was founded in 1996 by then DePauw University head football coach Nick Mourouzis. His goal was to provide outstanding student-athletes with an opportunity to become connected within a fraternal association that aligns their educational and athletic successes for a lifetime.
In order to be inducted, student-athletes must have achieved at least a junior academic standing after their fourth full-time semester, transfers must be at a junior level and serve one year in residence at their current institution, must have a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA, and be of good moral character. They must be a varsity level student-athlete.
A transfer student-athlete who is at junior academic standing may be eligible for induction after completing one academic year of residency and attaining a 3.50 or higher-grade point average at the certifying institution for membership. A transfer student-athlete who enters the certifying institution as a senior in academic standing may be eligible for induction at the next immediate selection process provided, they have earned a 3.50 cumulative or higher grade point average in all coursework at all previous four year colleges and universities, including one full time semester at the certifying institution.
