The Webster University women’s soccer team kicked off the 2008 campaign with a 3-0 victory over the Millikin Big Blue on August 29.  Sophomore Abby Klobe scored once while fellow sophomore forward Christy Capkovic picked up right where she left off tacking on two goals. 

Capkovic had 22 goals last season, and with her two goals today, moves into 7th place on Webster’s all-time career goals leaders.  She is now 8 goals away from number 6 on the list, Mary Bunt at 32.

The Webster Women’s Soccer team will continue their season on August 31st at AB Soccer Park at 1pm where they will take on the Elmhurst College Bluejays.  Webster University is a member of the St Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.  All Webster sporting events feature free admission.
