The Webster University volleyball team passed a tough test in their match against Fontbonne on Tuesday night. After losing a close first set to the Griffins 28-26, the Gorloks were able to turn the momentum around and win the next three consecutive sets to take the match.
The win brings the Gorloks' season record to 5 -2. Tuesday night's game was the first game of Webster's conference schedule and the Gorloks are now 1-0 in SLIAC play.
Webster will play Fontbonne again on September 13. The game will be held at 11 a.m. at Fontbonne. This game is the front end of a double header for the women, with the other game against another SLIAC opponent, Westminster College, at 1:30 p.m. Admission is free of charge.
