Strong Second Place Showing for Gorloks in Aurora Tourney

On Friday night the Webster University Volleyball team won their first two contests in the Aurora University Tournament.  In the front end of the double header, they defeated North Central College three games to
one, and then proceeded to top University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point, three games to none.  The two victories brought the Gorloks to 3-1 on the year.

On Saturday, the team split its games, defeating tournament host Aurora University 3-2, but losing to North Park University 3-0.  The Gorloks had a strong showing at the Aurora University Tournament with a record of 3-1 and a second place finish.  The conclusion of the tournament brings Webster’s season record to 4-2

The Gorloks will return to St. Louis on September 9, where they will take on Saint Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) rival Fontbonne University in a road game.  This is the opening of SLIAC conference play for the volleyball season.

All Webster home games are played at Grant Gymnasium located on the Webster University campus.  All home contests also feature free admission.
