Women's Soccer Captures Another Victory at Gay Field

In their first game of the Cheryl Cook Invitational, the Gorloks beat North Central College 2-0. Sophomore Christy Capkovic led her team and earned her third and fourth goals of the season.

During the first half, Capkovic gave her team the lead with a goal at 22:42. She carried that momentum into the second half when she scored another goal with three minutes left in the game.

Head coach Luigi Scire was pleased with the performance of Capkovic and his team "Christy is an excellent finisher and she knows her role well and even though we were off for a week, we really got going in the second half in executing defensively and playing intelligently". The Gorloks dictated the pace and controlled the rest of the game. Webster's goal keeper senior Jessica Kozeny contributed to the shut out in disabling the North Central College offense.

Coach Scire found that "the more games the team plays, the better they'll be". Tomorrow afternoon at 3pm the Gorloks will put that to a test and face Wisconsin Lutheran College's Warriors.
