Topsy-Turvy Weekend for Gorloks

Take SLIAC Doubleheader/Drop Two in 'Dig Pink"

The Webster University women's volleyball team strengthened their hold on first place by downing St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opponents Principia College and host Greenville College on October 9.  The Gorloks are 9-0 in the SLIAC.

Webster handed third-place Greenville their second conference loss, 3-1 (25-22, 20-25, 25-22, 25-19) then defeated Principia 3-0 (25-14, 25-23, 25-21) in the nightcap.   The Gorloks extended their conference winning streak to 31 matches.

Senior Jackie Schall (Oakville HS, STL) led Webster with 20 kills and senior Stefanie Larson (Delavan HS, IL) finished with 19 for the evening. 

The volleyball team was back on the court on October 10 at home vs. Central College (IA) and Elmhurst College (IL), for 'Dig Pink' Day.  Central defeated the Gorloks 3-1 (25-20. 25-11, 21-25, 25-20) and Elmhurst won 3-0 (25-21, 25-19, 25-17) in two non-conference matches. 

Webster is 11-9 overall on the season.  They hit the road for SLIAC matches at MacMurray College (IL) on October 13, and against Blackburn College (IL) and Westminster College on October 17 in Fulton, MO.
