Women's Soccer Rolls to 7-0 Win at Spalding

The Webster University women’s soccer team beat Spalding University, 7-0, on October 20 at Louisville, KY. Christy Capkovic (SR, Mehlville HS, STL) led the scoring parade with the 11th hat trick of her career. Four other Gorloks added goals and Brittany Senator (JR, Quincy HS, IL) and Shelby Wade (SO, Francis Howell HS, STL) shared the shutout.

Webster pulled to a 4-0 halftime lead and coasted to the 7-0 final. Megan Niederschulte (SR, Pattonville HS, STL), Morgan Milfeld (JR, DeSoto HS, MO), Lindsey Owens (JR, St. Dominic’s HS, STL), and Katie Aubuchon (FR, Affton HS, STL), also had goals for the Gorloks.  Amanda Zeier (JR, McCluer HS, STL) had four assists in the game, tying a team record held by four other players.

Senator got the decision in goal, raising her season record to 5-1 while lowering her goals against average to 0.40.  The shutout was the team's eighth on the season. 

The Gorloks are 10-6 overall and will be home on October 23 vs. Greenville College (IL). It is Senior Day and this year’s seniors, Capkovic, Niederschulte, and Kelsey Hunk (Francis Howell Central, STL) will be honored before the women’s game.
