Surf's Up, Men's Soccer Hangs 10

The men's soccer team spread the wealth as eight different players made it into the scoring column in a Webster 10-0 win over MacMurray College (IL) on October 5 at AB Soccer Park.  The 10 goals were the team high on the season and the most scored in a game since the 2008 season.

Clint Carder (SO, DeSoto HS, MO) raised his goal total to 11 in 10 games with two on the day.  Carder leads St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in goals scored.  Freshman Carlos Espinosa (Eureka HS, STL) also had two goals for the Gorloks.

Also scoring for the Gorloks were Dominic DeVasto (JR, St. John Vianney HS, STL), Bryce Johnson (SR, Basha HS, AZ), Kyle Leonard (SO, Lafayette HS, STL), Zack Papes (SR, McCluer North HS, STL), Mike Politte (SR, St. Francis Borgia HS, STL), and Agustin Villalba (SO, American School, Ecuador).

Alex Cupp (JR, Lutheran South HS, STL) and Tom Holmes (SR, Webster Groves HS, STL) shared the shutout in goal for Webster.

Webster is 2-1 in the SLIAC and 6-3-2 overall.  The Gorloks take on Blackburn College (IL) at AB Soccer Park on October 9 and travel to Westminster College on October 12.
