Facing a defense that packed the penalty box with 8-9 Beavers for most of the contest, Webster women's soccer defeated Blackburn College (IL), 2-0, on October 9 at AB Soccer Park.  Pelting the Blackburn defensw with 52 shots, the Gorloks still managed to break through with two goals, good enough for a victory.

Goals by Amanda Zeier (JR, McCluer HS, STL), her fifth on the season, and Christy Capkovic (SR, Mehlville HS, STL), her 11th, paced the Gorlok offense.  Webster outshot Blackburn 52-2 and Brittany Senator (JR, Quincy HS, IL) and Maria Arias (SO, Lincoln HS, Costa Rica) shared the shutout for the Gorloks.

Webster is 4-0 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and 8-5 overall.  The team travels to Westminster College on October 12 and to Principia College (IL) on October 16.
