Willie Trimble (JR, Riverside CC, CA) had a pretty good first week as a Gorlok. After being selected MVP of Webster's Cavallo Classic, Trimble followed up the honor by being named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week for November 15-21.
A 5-11 guard, Trimble averaged 20.0 points, 5.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds and shot .478 (11-of-23) from the field as Webster opened the 2010-11 season with two victories. He shot 7-of-12 (.583) from the field and finished with 18 points, six assists, six rebounds, two steals and one block in the Gorloks 67-60 season-opening win over Sewanee.
Trimble added 22 points, four assists, three steals and shot an impressive 14-for-16 (.875) from the free throw line to lead his squad to a 74-60 win versus Nebraska Wesleyan University. He transferred to Webster this fall after playing at Riverside Community College in California.
