The Webster University women's volleyball team dropped its first two matches in the Rhodes College Invitational in Memphis, TN, on September 10.  Webster lost 3-0, in the first match to host Rhodes, and in the nightcap to Franklin & Marshall (PA).

The Gorloks were defeated by Rhodes 25-23, 25-19, 25-21, and 25-21, 25-14, 25-13 by Franklin & Marshall.  They will face Millsaps College (MS) and Birmingham-Southern (AL) in the second round on September 11,

Webster is 2-4 on the season.  The team heads to conference rival Principia College (IL) on September 14 to open St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action.
