The women's volleyball team lost its final two matches in the Rhodes College Invitational on September 11, in Memphis, TN. Webster took Millsaps College (MS) to five sets before losing, 3-2, and lost in the nightcap to Birmingham-Southern College, 3-1.

The Gorloks took two of the first three sets from Millsaps, before losing the fourth and the tie-breaker (25-23, 19-25, 25-23, 18-25, 7-15).  In the second match, Webster won the first set, but lost three straight to Birmingham-Southern (26-24, 14-25, 20-25, 6-250.

Webster begins St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play on September 14 with a match at Principia College (IL).  The Gorloks will put their 38-game SLIAC winning streak on the line as they attempt to win a fourth straight league title.
