The Webster University women's volleyball team ran its winning streak in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference to 39 straight matches with a 3-0 win at Principia College (IL) on September 14.  The Gorloks start the SLIAC season, and their quest of a fifith straight SLIAC title, 1-0.

Webster's winning streak dates to the 2007 season, as the Gorloks marched through perfect 16-0 seasons in 2008 and 2009.  Getting back in the win column for the season, the Gorloks won in straight sets over the Panthers, 25-15, 25-13, 25-19.  Webster is 3-6 on the season.

Taking a break in the conference schedule, the vollyeball team travels to Bloomington, IL, to face Illinois Wesleyan on September 17.  The team returns to SLIAC play on September 18, facing Eureka College (IL) and Westminster College at Eureka.
