Women's Volleyball Grinds Down Griffins

Extending its unbeaten streak in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference to 43 straight matches, the Webster University women's volleyball team downed Fontbonne University, 3-1, on September 28.  The Gorloks streak has spanned over four seasons, starting in 2007.

Sandwiched between 2007 and the current 2010 season are two 16-0 perfect records in 2008 and 2009.  Webster last lost a SLIAC match on October 9, 2007 at Principia College (IL).

Despite playing on the road, the Gorloks handled the Griffins, 25-14, 23-25, 25-14, 25-14.  Webster goes to 5-0 in the SLIAC, and is tied for first place with Spalding University (KY).  Webster has a challenging tri-match at Greenville College (IL) on October 2 when they face Spalding and Greenville, who is one game behind in second place.
