The Webster University women's soccer team lost its home opener, 1-0, to Dominican University on September 4, at the Soccer Park.  Tthe Stars broke the deadlock with a goal at the 86:00 mark to take the victory.

Shelby Wade (SO, Francis Howell HS, STL) played well in the nets, but the Gorlok offense couldn't break through against the Stars defense.  Dominican is pi acked second for 2010 in the North Athletics Conference after posting a 9-2 league record in 2009.  The opening day loss for Webster is its first since the 2003 season.

The Gorloks travel to Jacksonville, IL, on September 8 to take on Illinois College before playing in the Washington University tournament on September 11-12.  Webster takes on St. Olaf College (MN) on the 11th, and Alma College (MI) on the 12th.
