The Webster University men’s soccer team got in the win column with a 2-0 victory at Illinois College in Jacksonville, IL, on September 8. Junior Clint Carder (DeSoto HS, MO) scored the Gorloks two goals, and Alex Cupp (JR, Lutheran South HS, STL) recorded his first win and shutout in the nets for Webster. 

Carder scored his first goal as a Gorlok at 24:49 of the first half to provide all the offense Webster needed. He picked up a second tally at 23:52 of the second half. Cupp had several big saves in the contest, lowering his goals against for his last three starts to 1.00. 

The Gorloks are 1-2-1 on the season.  Webster hosts back to back contests vs.Concordia University (IL) and Augustana College (IL) on September 11-12 at the A-B Soccer Park.
