The volleyball Gorloks continue to take care of business in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference as Webster defeated Fontbonne University, 3-0, and Principia College (IL), 3-0.  The matches were hosted by Fontbonne University on October 1, in Clayton.  Webster improves to 8-1 in the SLIAC.

The Gorloks won convincingly in their match with the Griffins, winning in straight sets, 25-12, 25-9, and 25-13.  In the second match of the day, Principia battled Webster, but the Gorloks prevailed.  The Gorloks won the first set 25-16, then had a knock down, drag-out before beating the Panthers in the second set, 28-26.  Webster wrapped up the match by winning the third, 25-19

Webster improves to 11-4 overall.  The Gorloks continue their quest for a SLIAC title with a match at Eureka College (IL) on October 4, before returning home for a key SLIAC match-up with Spalding University (KY) on October 7, at Grant Gymnasium.  Spalding current resides in first place, one half game ahead of the Gorloks.
