The Webster University women's volleyball team lept back into the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference win column, defeating the Blackburn College (IL) Beavers, 3-0. The Gorloks held on to second place in the SLIAC by a half game.
Webster rebounded from a tough loss last Friday to first-place Spalding University (KY) to down the Beavers in easy fashion, 25-7, 25-14, and 25-17. The Goroks were able to rotate a lot of their roster in the win as three starters sat due to injury and class schedules. Webster did not miss a beat as they raced out of the gate, allowing only seven points in the first set, and going on to a sweep.
After a couple days rest, the team heads to Colorado to play in the Colorado College Tournament. The schedule in Colorado is:
