Women's Soccer Pens Panthers, 2-1

The Webster University women's soccer team remained undefeated in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with a 2-1 win over Greenville College (IL) on October 19 at the Soccer Park.  Amanda Zeier (SR, McCluer HS) assisted on both Webster goals.  The Gorloks improved to 5-0 in the SLIAC with the win.

After the Panthers had tied the game at 1-1 in the second, Morgan Milfeld (SR, DeSoto HS, MO) scored on a scramble in front of the Greenville net off a Zeier corner kick.  That was the game winner and was Milfeld's seventh on the season, tying her for the team lead with Kristin Montgomery (FR, Duchesne HS).  The Gorloks had taken a 1-0 lead on Montgomery's seventh goal at the 19:00 mark in the first half.

Webster is 10-4-1 overall on the season.  The Gorloks faces Principia College (IL), also undefeated in the SLIAC, on October 22 at the Soccer Park, and hosts Westminster College on October 26 for its final regular season home match.
