The Webster University women's volleyball team defeated Fontbonne University, 3-0, in a quick and efficient fashion, on October 25, at Grant Gymnasium.  The Gorloks won in straight sets, 25-9, 25-8, and 25-17.

Webster is on a roll since the team's full lineup finally got healthy after several weeks of dealing with injuries.  The Gorloks improved to 13-2 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and 16-9 overall.  Webster has only one SLIAC match remaining, a visit to Westminster College on November 1.  Greenville College (IL) and Spalding University (KY) have two losses also but each have three SLIAC matches remaining.

It was 'senior night' and seven different players were honored in a ceremony before the game, as they played their last regular season match at Grant.  Lindsay Morris (Seckman HS), Kelly McClure (Fulton HS, MO), Elizabeth Linck (Hazelwood West HS), Jennifer Hoerber (Fulton HS, MO), Caroline Kargus (Mehlville HS), and Gretchen Rieger (Wesclin HS, IL), were all honored.

Webster takes on the #3 ranked nationally Washington University Bears at the Hilltop on October 26 at 7:00 p.m.  That game will be video-streamed and the link to watch the game is in the accompanying story at websterathletics.com
