The Webster University women's soccer team lost a 2-1 decision to the Rose-Hulman Fightin' Engineers, in Terre Haute, IN, on September 14. The Gorloks fell to 3-2 on the season while the Engineers improved to 3-2.
Alexandra Nikolaus (SO, St. Joseph's Academy) scored the lone goal for Webster, on a free kick. Nikolaus' goal came just one minute after Rose-Hulman had taken a 2-0 lead at the 12:50 mark in the second half. Webster trailed 1-0 at the half, as the Engineers scored on a penalty kick. Jessica Davis (FR, Belleville West HS, IL) and Brittany Senator (SR, Quincy HS, IL) each spent a half in the nets, both allowing one goal.
Webster travels to Louisville, KY, to open play in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference against Spalding University on September 17. The Gorloks return home the following day to face Coe College (IA) on September 18, at Gay Field in Clayton.
