Gorloks and Big Blue Battle to 0-0 Standoff

The Webster University women's soccer team slugged it out with Millikin University and, after regulation and two overtime periods, settled for a 0-0 tie, on September 20 at the Soccer Park.   The shutout was the Gorloks fourth of the season in eight games to date.

Brittany Senator (SR, Quincy HS, IL) started the game in goal and had three saves as she faced seven shots.  Jessica Davis (FR, Belleville West HS, IL), played the second half and both overtime sessions, making five saves as the Big Blue had 14 shots.  Webster's stout defense has only allowed six goals in those eight games.

Kristin Montgomery (FR, Duchesne HS) had Webster's best chances to score, but came up empty on three shots on goal as the Millikin goalkeeper made several key saves.

The Gorloks are 5-2-1 on the season and will travel to Chicago this weekend for a pair of games.  Webster faces North Central College on September 23 and then meets up with Dominican University on September 25.  The team returns home on October 2 to open play in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference against Eureka College (IL) at the Soccer Park.
