Box Score After being blanked in its last contest, the Webster University men's soccer team regained its scoring touch in a 5-0 win at Eureka College (IL) on October 13. Mike Wells (SO, McCluer North HS, MO) scored the first two goals in the game's first nine minutes to jump-start the Gorlok offense. With the win, the Gorloks are 3-1 in the SLIAC and 7-5-1 overall.
Just under six minutes into the contest, Wells scored his ffith goal Webster a 1-0 lead. Three minutes later Wells, netted his team-leading sixth goal of the year to give Webster a two-goal cushion.
Jurgen Rama (SR, Mehlville HS, MO) scored his first goal of the season at the 62:49 mark in the second half and another McCluer North alum, sophomore Taylor Overstreet, scored his third goal of the year at the 80:48 mark. Marc Hager (JR, St. John Vianney HS) capped the Gorlok scoring with his first goal of 2012, with just under six minutes remaining in the game.
Jarrod Huskey (JR, Hillsboro HS, MO) picked up his second shutout of the season in the nets for Webster. Huskey has started two games for the Gorloks and has yet to surrender a goal manning the nets.
The Gorloks will be back home on October 20 to take on MacMurray College (IL) at the Soccer Park.
