The Webster University women's volleyball team swept Blackburn College, 3-0, at the Beaverdome in Carlinville, IL, on September 18.  With the win the Gorloks improved to 3-1 in St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play.

The Gorloks had a relatively easy night, downing the Beavers in straight sets, 25-10, 25-11, and 25-12.  Liz Abraham (JR, Hermann HS, MO) had 14 digs to lead Webster and served flawlessly in 12 attempts in the match, with three aces.  Jenny Howard (SO, Duchesne HS, MO) had nine kills to lead the Gorloks, and also was perfect in 12 service attempts, with three aces as well.

Webster remains one loss out of first place in the SLIAC on the young season.  Webster is 4-6 overall.

Webster is back in action on September 22, hosting a quad at Grant Gymnasium.  The Gorloks will take on Fontbonne University at 11:00 a.m. and then Westminster College at 1:00 p.m.  Webster downed Westminster, 3-1, on September 11.  Westminster will face Principia College at 11:00 a.m. and Principia will oppose Fontbonne at 1:00 p.m.
