Not finding the going too daunting its first road game of the season, the Webster University women's soccer team shut down Millikin University, 2-0, in Decatur, IL, on September 19. Sophomore goalkeeper Jessica Davis (Belleville West HS, IL) picked up her fourth shutout of the season.
Davis lowered her season goals against average to 0.71 with the blanking, making six saves. Ally Nikolaus (JR, St. Joseph's Academy, MO) put the Gorloks on the board just six minutes into the game with a goal off an assist by Katie Aubuchon (JR, Affton HS, MO). The goal was Nikolaus' third of the year.
Lauren Scalise (SO, York HS, IL) made it 2-0 at the 23:45 mark with her first goal of the season. Freshman Lauren Pratt (Incarnate Word Academy, MO) added to her team-leading point total (12) with the assist.
