After dominating play for most of the contest, the Gorloks struck for their only goal with 15:27 left on a Kyle Leonard (SR, Lafayette HS, MO) score. It was Leonard's first of the year, and the second of his career at Webster. Clint Carder (SR, DeSoto HS, MO) got the assist on the goal. The Gorloks wound up outshooting the Blue Boys 17-7.
Huskey faced those seven shots, making two saves while gaining the shutout. Huskey, best known for his play on the hardwood for the Webster men's basketball team, joined the goalie-light men's soccer team this season. Huskey had played goal in high school at Hillsboro and gave the soccer team a second keeper, along with Brian Woodward (SO, Eureka HS, MO), the incumbent starter
Webster is 4-41 on the year and opens play in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play with a pair of home contests next week. The Gorloks host Blackburn College (IL) on October 3, and Spalding University (KY) on October 5.
