Webster Completes Saturday Sweep

Box Score Webster University completed a double sweep of conference opponents with a 3-0 home win against Eureka College (Ill.), 25-11, 25-8, 27-25. Earlier Saturday (Oct. 12), the Gorloks beat Spalding (Ky.) in three sets.
 
Webster is 18-4 overall, 11-1 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Webster is the favorite to win the conference according to a pre-season poll of SLIAC coaches.
 
Junior Andrea Dwiggins (St. Charles, MO / St. Charles) amassed a team-high eight kills. She did so in 10 attacks with one error for a .700 hitting percentage.
 
Freshman Katie O'Toole (St. Louis, MO / Lutheran South) was credited with 11 digs, her sixth consecutive match with 10 or more digs. Junior Jordan Vehlewald (Wildwood, MO / Lafayette), with 10 digs, extended her streak to four straight matches with 10 or more digs.
 
Webster has six regular-season conference matches remaining. The next is Tuesday (Oct. 15) versus Principia at Grant Gym at 7 pm.
