Box Score Webster University's volleyball squad continued its conference win streak with a 3-0 home win against Spalding University (Ky.), 25-17, 25-18, and 25-16.

The Gorloks are 17-4 overall and 10-1 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Webster is the favorite to win the conference according to a pre-season poll of SLIAC coaches.

Junior Alexa Joseph (Austin, TX / Anderson) paced Webster with eight kills, tying her second-highest output of the season. She had 13 kills against Fontbonne Sept. 21.

Junior Sam Kersting (St. Louis, MO / Lindbergh) contributed seven kills and seven blocks. The former ended a streak of four consecutive matches with 10 or more kills. The latter extended a streak to three consecutive matches with seven or more blocks.

One day after her school-record performance of 50 defensive digs, freshman Katie O'Toole (St. Louis, MO / Lutheran South) tallied 18 digs. Junior Jordan Vehlewald (Wildwood, MO / Lafayette) added 11 digs.
