Box Score Webster University's volleyball squad advanced to the championship of the conference tournament with a 3-0 sweep (25-18, 25-21, 25-14) of Westminster College. Webster picks up its 25th win of the season tying a school record set by the 2007 squad.

Tonight, the Gorloks play for the championship of the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament. The winner earns an automatic berth in the NCAA Division III national tournament.

All-American Sam Kersting (St. Louis, MO / Lindbergh) earned a team-high 18 points thanks to 14 kills and six total blocks. This is her fourth consecutive match with at least 15 points. The junior had one attack error in 26 attempts for a .500 hitting percentage, the eight time this season she has hit .500 or better in a match. This is the 14th match this season in which Kersting has tallied six or more total blocks. At the start of the week, she ranked second in the nation in Division III for blocks, 41st in hitting percentage and 81st in points.

Junior Emily Ratkewicz (Granite City, IL / Granite City) added 12 points with seven kills and six total blocks. She ranks 50th nationally in blocks.

Allie O'Toole (St. Louis, MO / Lutheran South) was credited with 26 assists, her fifth consecutive 20-assist match. Prior to this streak, the junior reached that plateau eight times in her previous 26 matches this season.

Jordan Vehlewald (Wildwood, MO / Lafayette) contributed on defense with a team-high 22 digs. The junior has topped 20 digs in consecutive matches, both against Westminster. Prior to this week, Vehlewald reached the 20-dig mark once in her 29 matches this season.

Freshman Katie O'Toole (St. Louis, MO / Lutheran South) had 17 digs. She ranks 61st in the nation in digs.

After winning the first two sets, Webster decisively closed out the match by hitting .444 in the third game with 17 kills and one error in 36 attacks.

Webster is aiming to win the SLIAC championship for the third consecutive year and the seventh time in eight years.
