Box Score Webster University women's soccer team remained undefeated with a 3-1 non-conference win at Illinois College.

The Gorloks (3-0) took a 1-0 lead early in first half on Ashley Mess's (St. Louis, MO / Northwest) first goal of the season.

In the second half, Briana Small (Chicago, IL / Lake Park) scored her first of the season for a 2-0 lead. After the host team got on the board, Lauren Scalise (Elmhurst, IL / York) restored the two-goal margin with her second of the season.

Kristin Montgomery (St. Louis, MO / Duchesne) and Jordan Fosburgh (Collinsville, IL / Collinsville) each picked up an assist in the contest.

Webster junior goalie Jessica Davis (Belleville, IL / Belleville West) made eight saves, the most in a regular season non-conference match since October 7, 2012, when she had nine in a 1-0 loss to Carroll (Wis.).

With the eight saves, Davis moved into fifth place on the school's all-time list for career saves. She needs 10 more for fourth place and 13 for third. Davis also moved into fifth place in the school record book for career wins, two behind fourth place, and four behind third.

The Gorloks return to St. Louis for their home opener this Saturday at Soccer Park against Central College (Iowa). Game time is 2 pm. On Sunday, Webster hosts Millikin University (Ill.) at 2 pm.
