Gorloks Get Good Start in Indiana

Box Score Webster University's volleyball team enjoyed a good first day with a pair of wins at the Rose-Hulman (Ind.) tournament. The Gorloks were 3-1 winners against the host school and 3-0 winners against Kenyon (Ohio).

Webster (3-1) dropped the first game against Rose-Hulman, 25-27, but won the next three, 25-14, 25-20, and 25-17. The outcome is a reversal of last season's matchup in the same tournament.

Webster followed with its sweep against Kenyon, 25-19, 25-23, 25-11. The victory puts Webster ahead of its pace last season when it started season 1-3 before rebounding to earn its sixth NCAA championship berth in school history.

Webster's second day in the tournament (Sept. 8) has matches against Defiance (Ohio) and Muskingum (Ohio).
