Women's Soccer Perfect in SLIAC With 3-0 Win at Principia

Box Score The Webster University women's soccer team remained undefeated in St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play with a 3-0 win at Principia College, on October 18.  The Gorloks are 5-0 in the SLIAC and tied for first place.  Webster has not allowed a goal in SLIAC play, with all five wins coming via shutouts, with Jessica Davis picking up the latest as she made her return in goal for the Gorloks a historic one.

Davis (SR, Belleville, IL/Belleville West HS) picked up her third win of the season and her second shutout.  The shutout was the 27th of Davis' career and makes her the Webster career leader in shutouts, passing Christy Little (1999-2002) on the Gorloks' all-time list.  This was the first game in goal since September 13 for Davis, who had been sidelined by injury.  Davis lowered her goals against average for the season to 1.10 and is 3-2-1 overall on the year.

The Gorloks took a 1-0 lead on a goal by Kristin Montgomery (SR, St. Louis, MO/Duchesne HS), off a corner kick by Amy Schield (SR, Belleville, IL/Belleville West HS).  The goal was Montgomery's fourth on the season.  Brianna Pagan (FR, St. Louis, MO/Washington HS) scored Webster's second goal, assisted by fellow freshman Kayla Dye (St. Louis, MO/Windsor HS).  Pagan tied Dye for the team lead in goals with her seventh.  Webster's final goal was scored on a freee kick by Lindsey Adshade (SR, Chicago, IL/DeKalb HS).  For Adshade, it was her third goal of the season.

The win was the 15th straight in the regular season for Webster in the SLIAC.  The Gorloks are 8-4-3 overall on the season.  They travel to Fulton, MO, on October 22 to face Westminster College, and host Blackburn College (IL) on October 25 at the Soccer Park on Senior Day.
