The women's soccer game between Webster University and Fontbonne University, on Saturday, November 1, at the Soccer Park, has been selected as this week's St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Game of the Week.  Information from the SLIAC Sports Information has contributed to this story.

This week's SLIAC Game of the Week puts the 2014 SLIAC women's soccer regular season title on the line. Webster will enter the contest at 8-0 in the SLIAC, while Fontbonne is a half game game behind the Gorloks at 7-0-1. On the line is the top seed in the 2014 SLIAC Tournament and with that, hosting rights for the tournament.  Webster will clinch with a win or tie and Fontbonne must win to take the title and host.

About Webster
Webster is currently 11-4-3 overall and are 8-0 in conference play. The Gorloks have won seven straight and are coming off a 3-0 win over Greenville. After a tough start to the year, going 2-3-3, the Gorloks are 9-1 over their last ten contests.  The conference's top scoring team, with 63 goals this season, Webster has seven players with ten or more points this year. Leading the way is freshman Kayla Dye with 26 points on nine goals and eight assists. Lindsey Adshade leads the conference in assists with 11 while Brianna Pagan is second on the team in goals with eight. The Gorloks have split time in the nets because of injury, but the duo of Rachael Ainsworth and Jessica Davis have teamed up to form the top combo in the league.  Webster is ranked 10th in the most recent Central Region poll..


About Fontbonne
Fontbonne is currently 15-2-2 overall and 7-0-1 in the SLIAC. The Griffins are on an eight-game unbeaten streak and tied Westminster, 1-1 their last outing. The Griffins have recorded three consecutive shutouts and have 12 shutouts on the year.  The Fontbonne defense has been stout all season, allowing just 10 goals this year. Taylor Pulvirenti has made 46 saves with an .821 save percentage in just under 1550 minutes of action this season. Her 0.58 goals-against average leads the conference. Offensively the Griffins are led by Kelly Hobbs' 10 goals and seven assists. Hobbs has been the team's go to player as she also leads the team with six game winning goals. Ashlynn Reiter is second on the team with nine goals and 22 points while Paige Pffankuch leads the team with nine assists.

- Webster leads the all-time series vs Fontbonne, 18-3, winning the last three meetings, and currently has an 18-game win streak in the SLIAC dating to 2012.
- Fontbonne and Webster have combined to out score their conference opponents 81-3 this season.
- Fontbonne's 15 wins this season are tied for a program record.
- Webster has captured at least a share of the SLIAC regular season title the last two years, tying Fontbonne and Principia in 2012 and winning outright last year.
