Box Score 2 Both scoring hat tricks in identical 11-0 wins, Webster University soccer players Dzani Delic (men's) and Kayla Dye (women's) were named St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Players of the Week for September 29-October 5. For the two freshmen, this was their first selections for the award.
MEN'S SOCCER (OFFENSIVE)Delic, a freshman from St. Louis, MO (Lindbergh HS), recorded his first career hat trick in a win over Eureka College. Delic notched the first three goals of the game, scoring all three in the first six-minutes of action. Delic leads the Gorloks with six goals and is tied for the team lead with 12 points. The win was the Gorloks second conference victory of the season and fourth overall win of the year.
WOMEN'S SOCCER (OFFENSIVE)Dye, a freshman from St. Louis, MO (Windsor HS), helped Webster to an 11-0 win over Eureka College. Dye tallied seven points in the victory, scoring three goals and and an assist in the win. Dye leads the Gorloks with six goals and 16 total points for the season. She scored on three of nine shots on goal in the game as the Gorloks improved to 2-0 in the SLIAC. Webster had won 12 straight regular season contests in the SLIAC, dating back to 2012.
