Box Score After scoring twelve goals its previous two games, the Webster University women's soccer team offense was shut down in a 1-0 loss to Augustana College, in Rock Island, IL, on September 27.  The Vikings are ranked 25th nationally in the NCAA III and sixth in the Central Region.

Augustana scored the lone goal of the contest just 4:58 into the first half, when a Viking header got past Webster goalie Rachael Ainsworth (FR, Salt Lake City, UT/Salt Lake School for Science Education).

Ainsworth faced 24 shots and made seven saves on the afternoon.  Her record falls to 2-2-1 on the year, as her goals against average remains a stellar 0.83 on the season.

The Augustana game completes Webster's difficult non-conference schedule for 2014.  The Gorloks are 4-4-3 on the season and 1-0 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.  Webster has a week off before continuing play in the SLIAC on October 4 at Eureka College (IL).
