Box Score Winning its 25th straight game in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, the Webster University women's soccer team won 6-0 at MacMurray College, on October 17 in Jacksonville, IL. The Gorloks, who have not lost in the SLIAC since 2012, improved to 6-0 as they hold onto first place.
Kayla Dye (SO, St. Louis, MO/Windsor HS) opened up the scoring for Webster just under seven minutes into the contest. Dye scored fourth her goal of the season, unassisted, at 6:52. The score remained 1-0 until the 30:40 mark when MacMurray was called for a foul in their box. Ashley Mess (SR, St. Louis, MO/Northwest HS) converted for the Gorloks.
Chelsea Noser (FR, Collinsville, IL/Collinsville HS) scored her team-high 10th goal of the season at 39:19 to give Webster a 3-0 lead. Kelsey Hausmann (SO, St. Louis, MO/Mehlville HS) assisted on the goal. Hausmann would score a goal of her own, her third, at the 41:14 mark to send the Gorloks into the locker room with a 4-0 lead.
Lauren Pratt (SR, St. Louis, MO/Incarnate Word Academy) and Ashley Mess added second half goals for the 6-0 final. For Pratt, it was her fourth goal of the year and Mess' second goal of the game gave her three on the season.
Alisa Coralic (FR, St. Louis, MO/Mehlville HS) went the distance in goal for Webster, picking up the win and improving to 7-0 in her freshman campaign. It was Coralic's second shutout of the year as her goals against average fell to 0.94.
Webster outshot MacMurray, 26-1, in the contest and had 14 shots on goal. The Gorloks, ranked 10th in the NSCAA Central Region, have won five in a row and eight of their last nine contests.
The Gorloks are 6-0 in the SLIAC and 10-4 overall. Webster will travel to Louisville, KY, on October 21 to take on Spalding University. The Gorloks will be back home on October 24 as they host Iowa Wesleyan University.
