Box Score The Webster University women's soccer team raced to a 7-0 halftime lead, courtesy of four goals by Chelsea Noser, as the Gorloks downed Eureka College (IL), 13-1 on October 3 at the Soccer Park. Nine different Gorloks scored goals in the contest, with three players scoring their first goals of the season.
Allison Ferguson (JR, Highland, IL/Highland HS) started the scoring at 9:53 in the first, with an assist by Lauren Pratt (SR, St. Louis, MO/Incarnate Word Academy). Ferguson repaid the favor three minutes later when she set up Pratt for her second goal of the season.
Noser (FR, Collinsville, IL/Collinsville HS) then took over, scoring a 'true' hat trick, netting three straight goals in a span of five minutes and nine seconds, making it 6-0 Gorloks. Jen Laaksonen (FR, St. Louis, MO/Fox HS), who assisted on Noser's third goal, then scored one of her own at the 38:29 mark, assisted by...Noser. Thirty-six seconds later, Noser netted her fourth goal in the game, assisted again by Laaksonen. This sent the Gorloks into the locker room leading 7-1 at the half, with the Eureka goal coming on a penalty kick.
For Noser, it was her team-leading eighth goal of the season. After sitting out a season due to injury, Noser now has eight goals and three assists in her first collegiate campaign. Her 19 points are also a team-high.
In the second half, senior Ashley Mess (St. Louis, MO/Northwest HS) got the scoring going again with her first goal of the season at 47:54. Three minutes later, Kayla Dye (SO, St. Louis, MO/Windsor HS) scored her second goal of the season. Sydney Tedesco (SO, Belleville, IL/Belleville East HS) was credited with the assist on the goal. Kelsey Hausmann (SO, St. Louis, MO/Mehlville HS) made it 10-0 with her first goal of the year at 57:02, assisted by Brianna Pagan (SO, St. Louis, MO/Washington HS).
Ferguson would add her second goal, her third of the season, and Gaby Medrano (FR, New Braunfels, TX/Canyon HS) scored her second of the year, both unassisted. Freshman Ashley Yacks (Whittier, CA/LaSerna HS) completed the scoring with her first collegiate goal, assisted by Noser.
