Last Minute Goal Dooms Gorloks

Box Score The Webster University women's soccer team got beat by a last minute goal as it fell to Franklin College (IN), 2-1, in Terre Haute, IN, on September 5.  The Gorloks had tied the game, 1-1, on a goal by Sydney Tedesco at the 61:00 mark, but the Grizzlies found the back of the net with 53 seconds left for the win.

For Tedesco (SO, Belleville, IL/Belleville East HS), it was her second collegiate goal.  She now has a goal and an assist in two games in 2015, matching her total for 21 games in 2014.  The Gorloks were outshot, 10-6, in the contest but put constant pressure on the Grizzlies throughout the game.

Robin Bolme (SO, Smyrna, TN/Blackman HS), faced five shots and had one save in the second half, but took the tough luck loss in allowing the game winner.  Alisa Coralic (FR, St. Louis, MO/Mehlville HS), manned the nets in the first half, allowing a goal on five shots as well.

Franklin was 12-3-4 in 2014, losing in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference championship game in overtime.  The Grizzlies are off to a 3-0 start in 2015.  Webster falls to 1-1 with the loss and will play Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute on September 6 to finish up the Indiana trip.  Webster has its home opener on September 11 at the Soccer Park against Lake Forest College (IL).
