The Webster University baseball team improved to 3-1 with a 1-0 win over North Park University, on March 4 at GCS Ballpark in Sauget, IL.  Matt Goro went the distance for the shutout and his second win on the year.

Nate Tholl (SO, Tinley Ridge, IL/John A Logan) singled with one out in the Webster first.  Kyle Uhrich (SR, St. Louis, MO/Webster Groves) doubled Tholl to third.  Zach Bishop (JR, Marshall, MO/Marshall) grounded out to score Tholl for a 1-0 Webster lead.

Webster starter Goro (SR, Wildwood, MO/Lafayette) sailed along, scattering six hits and a walk through nine innings of scoreless ball.  He is now 2-0 on the year. 

Bishop had the game's only RBI and Conner Wardlaw (JR, Arnold, MO/Jefferson College) was 2-4 with three stolen bases. 

Webster is 3-1 and North Park fell to 1-6 on the season.

The Gorloks are right back at GCS on March 5 to play Benedictine University (IL) and North Park, with Benedictine and North Park playing in between, then finish the weekend round robin on March 6 with a game vs. Benedictine.
