With the other two doubles teams, Webster tried new partner combinations as junior Sara Rice (Mahomet, Ill./Mahomet-Seymour) paired with freshman Maggie Federhofer (St. Louis, Mo./Lutheran South) at No. 2, and they earned an 8-3 win and at the No. 3 spot, senior Jesse Steffens-Willis (St. Louis, Mo./Rockwood Summit) paired with freshman Adri Ventimiglia (St. Louis, Mo./Marquette Catholic) and they won 8-0.

In singles, the Gorloks stayed strong. They lost only five games over the six matches, with four of Webster's players closing out with 6-0, 6-0 scores.

Webster used Saturday's match as a chance to improve on their individual games as the SLIAC Tournament looms near.

"Today was a really good chance to work on my forehand ground strokes," senior Jordan Struckman (O'Fallon, Mo./Francis Howell) said. Struckman played at No. 6 singles on Saturday and won her first match of the season over Blackburn's Asia Coleman, 6-2, 6-1.

Senior Robin Bolme (Smyrna, Tenn./Blackman) also had a great match as she played at No. 5 single spot, she served her first career ace during her 6-0, 6-0 win over Blackburn's Fatima Noor.

"I felt that today was a good match to work on some of the things I have wanted to improve for myself," Bolme commented following the match.
