ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Webster University Athletic Department has announced the 2022 softball schedule for the upcoming season. The Gorloks will kick off their season on Saturday, February 19
th when they travel to Memphis, Tennessee, to take on Rhodes (Tenn.) College for a doubleheader.
The Gorloks schedule features 10 games against opponents who are regularly in the NFCA Top 25 poll including doubleheaders against Piedmont (Ga.) University, Emory (Ga.) University, Wartburg (Iowa) College, and Buena Vista (Iowa) University while playing single games against Millikin (Ill.) University and Transylvania (Ky.) University. The team will also play a doubleheader against Illinois College who was a qualifier for the 2021 NCAA Division III Softball Championship Regional.
Webster will play their first home game of the season at St. Joseph's Academy on Tuesday, March 22
nd when they host Washington (Mo.) University for a single game at 4 p.m. They will play their second game of the two-game set against Washington (Mo.) University on Tuesday, April 14
th at 4 p.m. on the road.
The Gorloks will kick off conference play on Saturday, April 2
nd when they travel to Fontbonne (Mo.) University to take on the Griffins. The doubleheader is set to start at 1 p.m.
Webster's first home conference series of the season will take place on Sunday, April 10
th when they host Westminster (Mo.) College at St. Joseph's Academy. The doubleheader is set to start at 1 p.m.
The softball team will celebrate Senior Day during their final series of the regular season. They will host Principia (Ill.) College for a two-game set on Saturday, April 30
th starting at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph's Academy.
The SLIAC Tournament is set to take place from May 5
th to May 7
th. The location of the tournament is to be announced.
