ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Webster University men's soccer team was back in action this evening when they played host to the Eureka (Ill.) College Red Devils for a SLIAC matchup. The Gorloks defeated the Red Devils by a final score of 1-0 to improve to 11-1-3 on the season and 9-0-2 in conference play. With the loss, Eureka falls to 3-9-2 on the season and 2-7-2 in conference play.
Prior to the start of the match, the team honored their six seniors for their hard work and dedication to the program.

Tavis Cameron, and
Colby Kapp were all recognized.
The Gorloks outshot the Red Devils 30-2 in the contest and put eight shots on target while Eureka did not have any. Webster also led in the corner count as they finished with 10 compared to none from Eureka.
Webster dominated the possession in the first half but were unable to create many quality scoring chances. They put two shots on target in the frame but were unable to capitalize as the score remained scoreless at the break.
Webster continued to control the possession in the second half and were finally able to score in the 87
th minute of the game.
Colby Kapp played a ball to
Mark Moore down the sideline who was able cut into the box and slide the ball past the keeper and into the back of the net for his fifth tally of the season. The assist was Kapp's fourth of the year.
Ty Baudendistel was in goal tonight for the Gorloks as he did not record a save in his sixth solo shutout of the season.
The Gorloks will return to the pitch on Saturday, October 22
nd when they travel to Elsah, Illinois, to take on the Principia (Ill.) College Panthers for a SLIAC matchup. The game is set to start at 3:30 p.m.
