ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The 2023-24 Webster University men's basketball schedule has been released. The Gorloks will open their season on Wednesday, November 8
th when they travel to Jacksonville, Illinois, to take on Illinois College. Illinois College finished last season with a 25-3 overall record and won the Midwest Conference Regular Season and Tournament Championships. The game is set to start at 7 p.m.
The Gorloks will play their first home games of the season on Saturday, November 18
th and Sunday, November 19
th when they host the Willamette (Ore.) University Bearcats and the Maryville (Tenn.) College Scots for the Webster Classic. They will take on the Bearcats at 8 p.m. on November 18
th and then host the Scots on November 19
th at 3 p.m. The Scots went 18-8 last season and were the Collegiate Conference of the South Regular Season and Tournament Champions.
Webster will play their first conference game of the season on Tuesday, November 21
st when they travel to Fulton, Missouri, to take on the Westminster (Mo.) College Blue Jays. The game is set to start at 2 p.m.
The team will hit the road for two nonconference games to end November as they will travel to Rhodes (Tenn.) College on Saturday, November 25
th and Washington (Mo.) University on Tuesday, November 28
th. Rhodes went 18-7 last season while WashU went 20-7 and were defeated in the second round of the NCAA Division III National Tournament.
The Gorloks will play three conference games to start December including a 3 p.m. tip-off against Westminster (Mo.) College on Saturday, December 2
nd in Grant Gymnasium. They will then travel to Eureka (Ill.) College on Wednesday, December 6
th and to Greenville (Ill.) College on Saturday, December 9
th.
Webster will play two more nonconference games before Christmas break when they travel to Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, on Saturday, December 16
th and Sunday December 17
th. They will take on Crown (Minn.) College on Saturday at 6 p.m. and Martin Luther (Minn.) College on Sunday at 1 p.m. Crown finished with a program record 20 wins last season while finishing third in the NCCAA Division II National Tournament.
The team will play nine games in the month of January including trips to new conference opponents Mississippi University for Women and Lyon (Ark.) College. The Gorloks will take on Mississippi University for Women on Thursday, January 18
th in Columbus, Mississippi, at 7:30 p.m. They will then travel to Batesville, Arkansas, on Saturday, January 20
th to take on Lyon (Ark.) College at 3 p.m.
The Gorloks will play their final game of the regular season on Saturday, February 17
th when they host Lyon (Ark.) College at 3 p.m. in Grant Gymnasium. This game will serve as Senior Day.
The SLIAC Tournament is set to take place from February 20
th to February 24
th.
