Kase Lawson enters his first season as the Pitching Coach for the Gorloks.
Coach Lawson arrives at Webster from Hanover College where he was the Pitching Coach last season. During his stint at HC, Lawson helped lead the staff to its first ever HCLC Conference Tournament championship game and made an appearance at the NCAA Division III Tournament.
Prior to Hanover, Lawson worked as a pitching/ lifting coach at PRP Baseball in Noblesville, Indiana where he led impact training sessions and mentored athletes.
Lawson started his playing career at Wabash College and finished with an overall pitching record of 11-6 with a 4.80 ERA and was named NCAC Pitcher of the Year twice. During his time as a Little Giant, Lawson recorded 135 innings pitched and struck out 83 batters. He was a key member of the 2018 team that won the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament championship and made the NCAA Division III Tournament.
Following the 2021 season, Coach Lawson graduated from Wabash and transferred to the University of Indianapolis (Div. II) where he completed his baseball eligibility. As a member of the Greyhounds, Lawson appeared on the mound seven times that included four starts. Lawson produced 20 and one-third innings and earned 20 strikeouts and helped the team go to the NCAA Division II College World Series. He was named to the 2022 Academic All-GLVC team.
The Clinton, Indiana native completed his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Wabash in 2021 then later obtained a master’s degree in Psychology from University of Indianapolis in 2022.
