Abbey McAteer

Abbey McAteer enters her first season as an Assistant Coach for the Gorloks primarily working with the outfielders. 

Coach McAteer comes to Webster after a three-year stint as an Assistant Softball Coach under Webster's Head Coach Al Sampson and Assistant Coach Scott Charleville at Jeffco Xpress Fastpitch Softball in Jefferson County, Missouri during the 2021-24 seasons. While at Xpress, Coach McAteer specialized in working with the outfielders on a plethora of drills, footwork, and communication. In addition, she helped run practices, games, created lineups, and called pitches.

McAteer is in her third year as an Account Manager at Lockton Companies where she helps the dedicated account team produce high quality products for clients in several areas such as benchmarking, requests for proposals, and aggregate reports. In addition, she assists account managers with organization and accuracy of client information .

McAteer had a fantastic playing career at Jefferson College (NJCAA) and Drury University (Div. II). While at JC, she was a two-year starter in the outfield and was selected to the All-Region First Team, First Team All-MCCAC, and Academic All-NJCAA American. 

McAteer graduated from Drury University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and earned a certification in Neurodiversity while earning a 3.97 grade point average. Before Drury, she graduated from Jefferson College in 2019 with an associates degree in Business Management.
