Chelsea Schaffer enters her first season as assistant coach for Webster University after an impressive 2011 season playing for the Gorloks. Schaffer was named to the 2011 SLIAC All-Conference First Team and made her mark in the Gorlok softball single season record books by ranking in the top 10 in several offensive categories including batting average, walks, hits, triples and runs scored.
Prior to coming to Webster, Schaffer played two years at Western Carolina University where she was named to the 2009 Southern Conference All-Freshmen team. During her freshman year, Schaffer led the Catamounts in hits, stolen bases and runs scored. She also ranked second in RBI’s and third in batting average and home runs.Â
