Kyle Robinson

Kyle Robinson enters his fourth season as the Head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Coach at Webster.

Coach Robinson started at Webster in 2022 and in his first season as the Head Coach, he coached an athlete that qualified for the NCAA XC National Championship as that was the second time in program history a student-athlete has ever qualified.

While at Webster, Robinson has trained a plethora of athletes where nearly 80% of the distance runners on the team have obtained new personal best’s multiple times. In addition, Robinson has coached 13 All-Conference performances in two years from distance teams (Track & XC).

Prior to Webster, Robinson was the Assistant Cross Country Coach at Brescia (Ky.) University in Owensboro, Kentucky from 2019-2022. At Brescia, Robinson served as an Assistant Coach and Assistant Sports Information Director for three years where he coached a 3x All-American, 27 All-Conference Performers, 24 new school records, and the highest team placement at the RSC Indoor & Outdoor Track & Field Championship in school history.

As an Assistant Coach, Robinson recruited fantastic high school juniors and seniors, developed the mental strength in his athletes, coordinated weekly strength and conditioning exercises, set up cross country course for home meets, raised awareness of the team within the community, engaged the team in community service projects, and maintained a working knowledge of all campus policies. 

Robinson attended Brescia University for his undergraduate studies where he was an unbelievable student-athlete in cross country and track & field from the 2014-18 seasons.
As a student-athlete, Robinson is a 5-time school record holder that includes the half marathon school record with a time of 1:15:25, was named to the All-Conference team three times (1x XC, 2x track & field for the 10k), and a National Championship qualifier. As a competitor, Robinson was awarded the River States Conference Bill Melton Champion of Character Award in 2018.

In 2019, he was awarded the Larry W. Hagar, Jr. Award for the Most Outstanding Student Demonstrating Service Above Self.

Robinson graduated from Brescia in 2019 with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in English and later obtained a Master of Science in Management degree from Brescia in 2021. 

Coach Robinson holds a USA Track and Field Level 1 Coaching Certification.
