What is one thing that can instantly make your day?: Being offered food. Lots & lots of food.
As a child, what did you wish to become when you grew up?: This sounds crazy, but up until 2nd or 3rd grade I wanted to be a nun.
What is your motto in life?: I don’t have a motto, I just live.
Who changed the game of soccer for you? How?: Weirdly, I think it was my high school coach - she was pretty harsh on me and I didn’t feel like we had the best relationship, but she made me work harder than I've ever worked just to feel valued by a coach and I think it has made me a better player.
Who is your biggest fan?: As lame as it sounds, my teammates are and I've seen that through all their support from my two surgeries last year.
What does success mean to you?: Success to me is when I am able to meet a goal, but not being satisfied. Satisfied means I'm done and I want to be able to keep getting better and doing more.
What do you do as an individual to overcome adversity?: I overcome adversity by focusing on the things that matter. Soccer requires a lot of physical and mental strength. So by focusing on how I can make myself a better, stronger player, I can overcome physical injuries and increase my mental strength. Focusing on things like stats or awards can get in the way of what true success should look like on the filed. I also hope that it could help other people to have the drive and motivation to better themselves as a player, also.
