Venessa Jones enters her second season as the Volunteer Assistant Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Coach at Webster. 

As a student-athlete at Webster from the season 2017-2023, Jones set THREE school records; the 60m hurdle school record with a time of 9.20 seconds, the 100m hurdle school record with a time of 14.83 seconds, and was a member of the 4x100 relay team that set the school record with a time of 49.58 seconds.

In addition, Jones earned a total of 23 All-Conference selections, was named a 4x Individual SLIAC Champion in indoors and outdoors, was a member of the 2018 and 2019 outdoor conference championship team and 2020 indoor conference championship team.

Jones capped off her fantastic career by being selected to the All-Sportsmanship team three times and was named to the 2010’s All Decade team for 60m hurdles, pole vault and 4x100.

Jones, a Orlando, Florida native, graduated from Webster with a degree in Film and Television Production in 2021. She is currently pursuing a MA & MBA in Media communications and Business from Webster.
